The unofficial start of summer is upon us. And we hope your three-day weekend provided the perfect touch, for some extra touch & goes...

Survey Says... Free Flight

Image"I want more discounts."
"I'd like more LSA listings."
"I like it the way it is!"

Our first ever Archer Bravo survey is in. And the response was overwhelming, both with positive comments, and some very good suggestions.

So, while we're hard a work improving the site, click the link below to find out what other pilots are saying about us.

And we'd like to congratulate Archer Bravo member and flight instructor Markus Cerney. He was the winner of our free hour of flight contest, just for taking part in the survey. And get this, he's donating it to one of his students. Wow! Thanks Markus.

What Did Other Pilots Say?

What Am I? - May

ImageThis month's "What Am I?" contest might bring a tear to your eye, at least if you've been following recent developments in the airline industry.

Name the type of aircraft - complete with exact model number - pictured here on final approach, AND the name of the carrier.

The first person to correctly guess will win an Archer Bravo Aviation mousepad, and a mention in our next newsletter.

A big bonus to anyone who can name the airport, and runway in use.

A Flying Gecko

ImageThe animal lovers came forward quickly for April's "What Am I?" contest...

Archer Bravo Member Brian Wing was the first to correctly identify the aircraft as the Extra 300S piloted by Tim Weber in his Geico-sponsored aircraft.

The photo was taken on the ramp at Marine Corps Base Hawaii at Kaneohe during the Blue Angels airshow. Weber had just finished his aerobatic routine.

Congrats Brian. An Archer Bravo Aviation mousepad is on the way!

Desert Heat

ImageThe heat was on for April's "Where Am I?" contest, and we still couldn't stump you...

Archer Bravo Member Uwe Schneider was the first to correctly guess this photo was taken shortly after take-off from McCarran International Airport (LAS) above Las Vegas, Nevada.

Uwe must travel the country, because this is his 5th win in two years and, as he says, "another point towards winning a free airplane."

A few more, and we'll consider it. For now, Uwe will have to settle with a newly redesigned Archer Bravo Aviation t-shirt!

"Where Am I?" - May

May's "Where Am I?"contest takes us back to the Northeast, and puts us on final approach to Runway 5.

But where? A couple of hints this month:

-Both runways at this airport can accomodate jets
-The field is shared by the Air Force

The first person to submit the correct guess gets an Archer Bravo Aviation t-shirt and bragging rights in next month's newsletter.

Fed-Up with Fees?

A fuel surcharge is one thing. Ok, ding us for food, too. But paying for checked baggage? Things might be out of control with the airlines, and this month our Bravo Blogger explains why this is great news for general aviation...
