"Where Am I?" Gets Busy

ImagePerhaps it was too easy, as the answers to last month's "Where Am I?" contest came fast and furious, and most of them were correct.

But the first person to respond is always the winner, and those honors in April go to Archer Bravo member Angelo Bertolucci who correctly identified the pictured airport as San Carlos Airport (SQL) along the San Francisco Peninsula.

This photo was snapped from a Cessna 172 on a chilly, clear winter day on approach to newly-repaved runway 30. SQL's Class D airspace is sandwiched between SFO's Class B, and Class C airspace from Oakland and San Jose International.

An interesting note: Angelo was our very first member. Congratulations, and thank you.

"Where Am I?" - May

ImageMay's "Where Am I?" contest goes where the wind blows, or so to speak.

This maze of criss-crossing runways should be easily identifiable to anyone who's jumped on an orange and blue Boeing looking to side-step one of America's busiest commercial fields.

No more hints.

The first person to correctly identify this airport will get bragging rights in next month's newsletter, and a free Archer Bravo Aviation mouse pad!
