As winter begins to thaw, it's time to get out and play. Let us help you as we continue our free flight giveaway...

Tangible Answer

ImageWe thought that February's "Where Am I?" contest might finally stump our members, but your amazing airport knowledge proved us wrong again.

Archer Bravo Member Keith Baldwin was the first to correctly guess the picture was taken on the ramp of the Tangier Island (TGI) airport, located in the middle of Chesapeake Bay, in Virginia.

Member John Levinson snapped this picture of his own Cessna 182, sitting on the deserted apron.

Congratulations Keith, and thanks again John. An Archer Bravo Aviation t-shirt is on the way!

Double Dose of Patriotism

ImageWe asked a bit more of you in February's "What Am I?" contest: name not just one, but both types of aircraft seen in the photo.

The answers poured in, and member Richard Harmon was the first to correctly identify the jets in the foreground as the Blue Angels FA-18s, and the Coast Guard C-130 in the background. Check out its rear cargo door, wide open during the fly-by.

This photo was snapped during the Kaneohe Bay Marine Corps Base Hawaii Airshow on the windward side of Oahu.

Congratulations Richard! An Archer Bravo Aviation mousepad is on the way.

P.S. Send us your mystery aircraft photos and we'll test our members. Email them to whatami@archerbravo.com

"Where & What Am I?" Combo Contest

ImageAlways looking to mix it up a bit, this month we're combining our "Where Am I?" and "What Am I?"contests.

The photo to the left was taken on final approach to a U.S. airport. We need you to tell us which airport we're approaching (Where Am I?), AND the type of aircraft seen off the left wing (What Am I?).

The only hint we'll give you: when it gets too foggy, these types of side-by-side approaches are banned at this airport.

BONUS: If you really want to impress your fellow pilots, take a guess at the type of aircraft the photo was taken from.

The first person to submit the correct guess gets an Archer Bravo Aviation t-shirt and mousepad.
