"Where Am I?" Winner - December

ImagePerhaps it was too easy last month, or maybe you're just getting better at our "Where Am I?" contest. We had a record-number of responses in December, and most of them were right!

The first correct response came from member Uwe Schneider, who identified the airport in this picture as Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California (SUU). Congratulations Uwe - an Archer Bravo mouse pad is on its way.

This photo was taken from a Cessna 172. You can see the pair of 11,000 foot runways. What you can't see is the C-17 groaning around the pattern, doing touch & goes.

"Where Am I?" - January

ImageIt wouldn't be January without a bit of snow. And that's exactly what you get in our latest "Where Am I?" edition. And there's another twist this month. To win, you must give us both:

-The current, newer name of the airport
-Its nickname

Here's a hint: its new name certainly fits the backdrop.

The first person to correctly answer those two questions will get bragging rights in next month's newsletter, and a free Archer Bravo Aviation mouse pad!
