With tax day behind us, hopefully a refund from Uncle Sam will allow you a few extra hours of flight...

"Where Am I?" Heads North

ImagePerhaps it was the unique shape of the control tower. Or maybe the name of the hotel in the background. Or the livery on the Airbus A319. But we know it wasn't luck.

That's because the winner of March's "Where Am I?" contest has won it before. Archer Bravo member Uwe Schneider was the first to correctly identify the pictured airport as Vancouver International (YVR) in Canada.

Uwe won an Archer Bravo mousepad for his success back in December, when he correctly identified Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California. This time, we're sending him an Archer Bravo t-shirt! Congratulations.

"Where Am I?" - April

Image"Where Am I?" heads back into the United States for the month of April.

Again, there are no runway numbers visible in the photo, but the terrain should give it away if you've flown this approach.

This class D airport is tucked under and between airspace for three very busy international airports.

Ok, enough hints. You're a savvy bunch.

The first person to correctly identify this airport will get bragging rights in next month's newsletter, and a free Archer Bravo Aviation mouse pad!
